Guri-si Provides Up to 1 Million Won Support to Small Business Owners Affected by COVID-19
[Asia Economy (Guri) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Guri City in Gyeonggi Province will provide financial support for store reopening and business normalization to small business owners who are experiencing difficulties such as a sharp decline in sales due to the impact of COVID-19.
The support targets small business owners with annual sales of 200 million KRW or less, who registered their business in Guri City before December 31 of last year, and whose sales have dropped by 80% or more compared to January of this year due to COVID-19 (effectively closed).
Since the budget is limited, Guri City will prioritize support in order of stores with the largest sales decline, excluding entertainment and gambling-related businesses, non-profit operators, and unregistered businesses from the support target.
The city has selected 54 stores that meet the eligibility criteria and will provide up to 1 million KRW in support.
Supported stores can receive funds for expenses such as materials needed for reopening, promotion and marketing costs, utility bills, and management fees. However, labor costs and rent are excluded.
The city will accept online applications through its website from the 15th to the 26th of this month.
If online application is difficult, in-person applications can be submitted from the 22nd to the 26th while complying with COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
