Highlighting Gwangju and Jeonnam Experienced the 6·25 War
National Maritime Cultural Heritage Research Institute Special Exhibition on the 14th of Next Month: '6·25, War and Hope'
The National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage, the Jeonnam Office of Education, and the Jeonnam Western Veterans Affairs Office signed an exhibition agreement on the 11th to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Korean War and will hold a special exhibition titled "6·25, War and Hope." The National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage will organize the exhibition, while the Jeonnam Office of Education and the Jeonnam Western Veterans Affairs Office will provide collections and materials free of charge. The exhibition will be held from July 14 to August 30 at the National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage's special exhibition hall. It will showcase about eighty photographs depicting the landscapes of Gwangju and Jeonnam around 1950, along with about ten educational materials. An official stated, "This exhibition will pay tribute to the patriots who sacrificed during the 6·25 War, while also allowing visitors to feel the preciousness of hope and peace blooming even amidst war."
