Mando Makes Strategic Investment in Startup Bitsensing with 'Smart Radar Technology'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Mando announced on the 8th that it has participated as a strategic investor in the pre-Series A funding round of Bitsensing, a smart radar technology startup.
The total investment amounted to 7 billion KRW, with participation from Mando, LB Investment, Hanse Industrial, and SB Partners. Futureplay and SJ Investment Partners made additional investments in the pre-Series A round following their seed investments.
Bitsensing launched a traffic radar, a core foundational sensor for realizing smart cities, and won the Innovation Award at CES 2020 last January. The traffic radar is installed on traffic safety equipment such as traffic lights to track and collect real-time traffic information. Additionally, Bitsensing is developing a high-resolution 4D imaging radar sensor that integrates its proprietary radar technology with cameras, unaffected by external environmental factors, and is pioneering radar applications in lifestyle sectors beyond mobility.
