Fire at Daegu Mask Material Storage Warehouse... 92 Million Won in Damages
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] A fire broke out at a mask material storage warehouse in Hwawon-eup, Dalseong-gun, Daegu, around 7:30 PM on the 6th and was completely extinguished at around 3:40 AM on the 7th, eight hours later.
According to the Daegu Fire Department, 51 fire trucks and more than 160 firefighters were deployed that day, but they faced great difficulties in extinguishing the fire due to a large amount of nonwoven fabric, a mask material, being piled up.
The fire caused property damage estimated at about 92 million won (according to the fire station) as nonwoven fabric and other materials burned. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
