On the 2nd, Park Baek-beom, Vice Minister of Education, visited a large academy in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and said, "We are internally reviewing whether to introduce the QR code system in academies as well," adding, "Whether it will be mandatory or recommended requires further discussion."
The electronic entry log using QR codes is a method of authentication using a smartphone before entering a facility. After receiving a one-time QR code, users present it upon entry. Facility managers recognize the user's QR code through an application designed for facility management. Personal information and visit records are stored encrypted. It is convenient because there is no need to manually record visitor logs. Currently, electronic entry logs using QR codes are being piloted in multi-use facilities such as clubs, karaoke rooms, and PC rooms. It will become mandatory starting from the 10th.

Vice Minister Park checked whether students maintained a distance of 2 meters (at least 1 meter) between each other, whether masks were being worn, and whether entry logs were properly maintained at the academy. The academy reduced class sizes from a capacity of 60 to 28 students to practice social distancing and ventilates the rooms every hour. He emphasized, "Social distancing and ventilation are the most important," and urged, "Users should also follow the academy quarantine guidelines announced for business owners and workers."
