Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju to Build 'DB' Through Complete Survey of Outdoor Signs
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Samho) is conducting a full survey of outdoor signs in the district and building a database (DB) to systematically manage outdoor advertisements.
According to Gwangsan-gu on the 2nd, the full survey targets all types of fixed signs, including wall signs, projecting signs, pole signs, and rooftop signs.
Starting with Singa and Sinchang-dong, the survey will be conducted over four months from June to September, investigating the presence of permits such as reporting, approval, and extension, as well as compliance with advertising standards.
A Gwangsan-gu official stated, “By conducting a full survey and creating a database of outdoor signs, we will efficiently manage advertisements to establish a desirable advertising culture and create a pleasant urban landscape.”

Meanwhile, prior to this full survey, the district signed a consignment contract in April with a professional survey company to investigate approximately 55,000 already installed outdoor signs and build a database.
