Hanjin Co., Ltd. Participates in the 2nd Special Charter Flight Air Cargo Transport by KITA
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Hanjin Co., Ltd. announced on the 1st that it participated as an air cargo carrier in the special Korean Air charter flight operation from Incheon to Narita, organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea International Trade Association to support small and medium export companies facing difficulties in cargo exports due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The comprehensive logistics company Hanjin Co., Ltd. has been engaged in the international air logistics business since 1994. Since last year, based on experience in international mail transportation and handling operations, as well as serving as the General Sales Agent (GSA) for Czech Airlines, it has been expanding its air logistics business targeting various international airlines.
Approximately 17 tons of cargo from various small and medium export-import companies were loaded on this special charter flight, which departed Incheon Airport on the 29th of last month and arrived at Narita Airport at 12 PM on the same day. The fare for this special charter flight was reduced to about 75% of the usual cost with support from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, easing the export cost burden for small and medium export-import companies.
