Seoul Daytime Temperature 29°C, Second Only to Late July... Hottest So Far This Year

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] On the 30th, the daytime temperature in Seoul rose to 29 degrees Celsius, bringing heat reminiscent of late July.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, as of 3 p.m. that day, the temperature in Seoul reached 29.0 degrees Celsius, the hottest so far this year. This surpassed the previous highest temperature of 27.6 degrees recorded on the 29th.
Compared to the average value (May 30, 1981?2010) of 25.3 degrees, it was nearly 4 degrees higher, resembling late July temperatures. Outside of Seoul, Suwon recorded 29 degrees, the hottest this year, while Cheongju and Inje reached 29.3 degrees, Chuncheon 29.2 degrees, and Icheon 29 degrees, showing summer-like weather in various locations.
Daegu was cloudy that day, with a daytime temperature of 27.5 degrees, so it was not hot. Additionally, Gwangju recorded 25.5 degrees, Mokpo 24.4 degrees, Busan 22.9 degrees, Ulsan 23.8 degrees, and Changwon 24.4 degrees, with relatively lower temperatures in the Jeonnam and Gyeongnam regions.

Next week, daytime high temperatures are expected to exceed 30 degrees. The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted, "In early next month, many inland areas in the southern region will see daytime highs above 30 degrees, and some inland areas of Gyeongbuk will rise to around 32 degrees, making it very hot."
