Yeonggwang-gun and Chosun Ilgong University Join Hands to Operate Sports Rehabilitation Department Campus
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 29th that it signed a business agreement with Chosun Institute of Science and Technology (President Jo Soon-gye) on the 28th for the operation of the Department of Sports Rehabilitation campus (baseball team).
The main content of this agreement is mutual cooperation for the operation of the Department of Sports Rehabilitation campus at Chosun Institute of Science and Technology to promote the development of local community academies and recreational sports, as well as participation in industry-academia-government joint research.
The county will support classrooms, training grounds, and dormitory facilities for smooth department classes, and Chosun Institute of Science and Technology plans to establish a baseball team based in the county (founded in 2021) and conduct on-site field classes for the Department of Sports Rehabilitation.
A county official said, “We ask for active cooperation between the two institutions to combine sports facility infrastructure and the excellent educational capabilities of Chosun Institute of Science and Technology to expand the base of sports such as community recreational baseball and revitalize the local economy.”
