National Ballet Company June 'Giselle' Performance Temporarily Postponed
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The National Ballet announced on the 29th that it will temporarily postpone the 2020 season's first regular performance, "Giselle," which was scheduled to be held at the Opera Theater of the Seoul Arts Center from June 10 to 14.
They explained that this was an unavoidable decision following the "Recommendation to Suspend Operations of Public Multi-use Facilities in the Metropolitan Area" announced by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters (CDSCH) on the 28th.
Due to the recent outbreak of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the CDSCH ordered the temporary suspension of all multi-use facilities and national and public theaters in the metropolitan area until June 14. The National Ballet also decided to temporarily postpone "Giselle" to prevent the resurgence of COVID-19.
