Federation of Industrial Complex Managers Pledges to Overcome COVID-19 and Leap into a Manufacturing Renaissance in Industrial Complexes
The 11th Regular General Meeting and Partnership Cooperation Exchange Conference Held
On the 28th, Kim Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, delivered a congratulatory speech at the 11th Regular General Meeting of the Federation of Korean Industries and the Win-Win Cooperation Exchange held at the G-Valley Convention Center in Seoul.

This general assembly was held under the theme "Overcoming the COVID-19 Crisis in Industrial Complexes and Leaping into a Manufacturing Renaissance," featuring the approval of new projects and major agenda items for 2020, signing a business agreement for next-generation management support for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in industrial complexes, and introducing support projects for regulatory innovation. In addition to approving the 2020 business plan and other agenda items at the general assembly, time was allocated to signing a business agreement for next-generation management support to strengthen the manufacturing competitiveness of SMEs in industrial complexes and to introduce major support projects by KICOX.
At the exchange meeting, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's Trade Legal Planning Division presented on the current status of global import regulations and response strategies, and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology explained support projects related to the industrial convergence regulatory sandbox. A COVID-19 overcoming rally was also held to revitalize the industrial sites that have been stagnant due to the pandemic.

Kim Gi-won, chairman of KOFIEA, stated that the regional management councils of 22 industrial complexes nationwide will unite to restore vitality to industrial complexes that have been stagnant due to COVID-19. In response, Kim Jeong-hwan, president of KICOX, expressed hope that the passion of the representatives of member companies attending the KOFIEA general assembly from all over the country during these difficult times will become a driving force to overcome the COVID-19 crisis, and urged active participation and support from KOFIEA member companies in innovative projects promoted by KICOX, such as industrial complex redevelopment, manufacturing innovation, and job creation.
