[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Seoul City announced that the father of a student who used the emergency care classroom at Yeon-eun Elementary School in Eunpyeong-gu and the student himself were both confirmed positive for COVID-19, and that the student's father is linked to a confirmed pastor from Uijeongbu Jusarang Church.
At the regular COVID-19 briefing held at Seoul City Hall at 11 a.m. on the 27th, the city stated, "On the 26th, an elementary school student and his father, who used the emergency care classroom at an elementary school in Eunpyeong-gu, were confirmed positive. The student's father visited the restaurant 'Jangsu Samgyetang' located in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 18th, where it was identified that he had contact with a confirmed pastor from Uijeongbu Jusarang Church."

However, the city explained, "The student's father and the pastor from Uijeongbu Jusarang Church were not part of the same group," adding, "They were at the same Samgyetang restaurant during the same time period, and the detailed infection route is currently under investigation."
