Additional Confirmed Cases Including 10-Year-Old Girl at Coupang Bucheon Logistics Center... Total Now 10 (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] Two additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 related to the Coupang logistics center in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province have been reported. As a result, the total number of confirmed cases linked to the Bucheon logistics center has increased to 10.
Incheon City announced on the 26th that A (20, female), residing in Bupyeong-gu, and B (10, female), living in Gyeyang-gu, tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the city, A is an employee at the Coupang Bucheon logistics center and was confirmed to have come into contact with a confirmed case residing in Bucheon City on the 18th while working together at the center.
A visited the Bupyeong-gu public health center on the 25th due to symptoms such as a sore throat and underwent a COVID-19 test, receiving a positive result on the same day. Three family members, including A’s parents and siblings, have been placed under self-quarantine.
B is the daughter of patient C (50, female), the 149th confirmed case in Incheon and an employee at the Bucheon logistics center. B was classified as a contact of C and was tested at the Gyeyang-gu public health center on the previous day.
C’s husband and another child tested negative for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Bucheon City plans to conduct specimen tests on 3,626 individuals, including regular and daily workers, delivery company employees, and retirees associated with the Coupang Bucheon logistics center, in response to the spread of confirmed cases.
