Since 2016, Daegu City has been updating measures to resolve the job mismatch for local youth. In addition to the 30 companies that have been re-certified, this year it plans to select 5 new Employment-Friendly Companies. So far, Daegu City and the executing agency, Daegu Technopark, have discovered companies that meet the expectations of young people, selecting and supporting a total of 56 companies (with an average annual salary of 34.75 million KRW for new university graduates and an average of 25 types of employee welfare programs).
Daegu City reviewed the achievements so far and, based on feedback from the field, has prepared a new Employment-Friendly Company system through the operation of a system improvement TF team since the second half of last year.
The main revisions include ▲ a total volume system and certification system limiting the number of companies to a maximum of 100 ▲ strengthening application conditions by reflecting employment-friendly management indicators ▲
and the introduction of a Sun-Set (sunset) system for poorly managed companies. For detailed information regarding company applications, please refer to the Daegu Technopark website.
