Seongbuk-gu, Safety Inspection of Child Protection Zones and Traffic Vulnerable Points
Focused Inspection on Child Traffic Vulnerable Areas Including Janggok Elementary and Seokgwan Elementary School Child Protection Zones on the 21st
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) conducted safety inspections of children's protection zones and traffic safety facilities in the area for children preparing to return to school, following the transition to 'social distancing in daily life.'
This inspection was part of the 'Safety Inspection Day,' held on the 4th of every month, during which Vice Mayor Jeongsoo Son and heads of related departments inspected the children's protection zones near Janggok Elementary School and Seokgwan Elementary School.
The inspection aimed to prevent safety accidents in advance by checking for risk factors on children's commuting routes before the start of the school term.
In particular, the inspection focused on areas vulnerable to child traffic accidents related to the so-called 'Minsik Act,' ensuring that expert inspections could be conducted if necessary.
Vice Mayor Jeongsoo Son, who participated in the inspection, urged the heads of related departments to "thoroughly manage the safety facilities within children's protection zones to prevent accidents caused by insufficient safety measures."
