'Emergency Disaster Relief Fund' Regional Gift Certificates and Prepaid Cards Received by 780,000 Households on First Day of Application
The government's emergency disaster relief fund credit and debit card recharge application began at 7 a.m. on the 11th through the websites of nine card companies. Similar to the public mask 5-day rotation system, a day-of-the-week system is applied for applications, and from the 16th, applications can be made at any time. According to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on the 19th, 417,980 households received the emergency disaster relief fund in the form of local love gift certificates, and 362,662 households received prepaid cards the previous day.
By region, Gyeonggi-do had the highest number of households receiving local love gift certificates with 148,328, followed by Incheon with 119,969 households, Gyeongbuk with 26,726 households, Gangwon with 24,839 households, Chungbuk with 24,383 households, and Seoul with 12,405 households.
For prepaid cards, Seoul had 97,127 households, Gyeonggi 59,298 households, Busan 50,883 households, and Jeonbuk 28,804 households.
On the 18th alone, the total number of emergency disaster relief fund applications, including credit/debit cards, local love gift certificates, and prepaid cards, amounted to 1.72 million households, totaling 1,109.8 billion won.
Accordingly, as of the 18th since the 4th, a total of 15.98 million households have received emergency disaster relief funds amounting to 10.0221 trillion won.
