Gyeonggi Economic Science Institute Hosts 'Webinar' to Support Companies Entering Southeast Asia
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency will hold a webinar to help local companies enter the Southeast Asian market.
On the 18th, the Gyeonggi Economic Science Agency announced that on the 21st, it will hold a webinar titled "Successful Southeast Asia Entry Strategy through Shopee" in collaboration with Shopee, a leading e-commerce company in Southeast Asia, to examine the changing trends in the Southeast Asian e-commerce market amid the spread of COVID-19 and the response strategies for Korean companies.
The seminar will proceed in the following order: ▲ 2020 Southeast Asia Market Insights ▲ Changes in Southeast Asian e-commerce consumer trends due to COVID-19 and Korean companies' response strategies ▲ Post-COVID Southeast Asia entry strategy through Shopee ▲ Successful cases of Korean companies entering Southeast Asia.
The webinar is free of charge, and participants can apply by visiting the official G-FAIR KOREA website (https://www.gfair.or.kr/) by the 19th.
The Gyeonggi Economic Science Agency plans to continue holding webinars until the spread of COVID-19 is alleviated. On the 11th of next month, a webinar for entering Amazon will also be held.
Kim Ki-jun, head of the Gyeonggi Economic Science Agency, emphasized, "The global e-commerce market, which was $3.5 trillion last year, is expected to nearly double to $6.5 trillion in 2023. We will actively support local small and medium-sized enterprises to appropriately respond to these environmental changes and succeed in entering overseas online markets."
