The Korea Meteorological Administration expects the rain to expand nationwide around 9 a.m. and continue until night. Rain is forecast to stop in Jeju and the eastern coast of Gyeongsang by early morning on the 16th, and in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon by the morning of the 16th.
Expected precipitation from early morning on the 15th to morning on the 16th is 50-100mm in Jeju, 30-80mm along the west coast of Jeonbuk and Jeonnam, and Gyeongnam, and 10-50mm in the central region and Jeonbuk excluding the west coast, and Gyeongbuk.
There will be places in the southern region and Jeju experiencing thunder and lightning accompanied by gusty winds. Heavy rain warnings are likely to be issued for Jeju and the coastal areas of Jeonnam, the southern coast of Gyeongnam, and near Jirisan where rain clouds are strongly developing.
The morning low temperature is expected to be between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius. The daytime high temperature will be 16-21 degrees Celsius, about 4-7 degrees lower than the previous day.
Expected highest temperatures by major regions are Seoul 19°C, Incheon 18°C, Chuncheon 19°C, Gangneung 18°C, Cheongju 19°C, Daejeon 18°C, Jeonju 21°C, Gwangju 20°C, Daegu 19°C, and Busan 18°C.
Winds will blow strongly at speeds of 35-60 km/h (10-16 m/s), especially over the seas around Jeju Island and the distant waters of the South Sea, causing high waves. Navigation and fishing vessels should exercise caution.
