Daejeon City to Launch Public Health Medical Support Team Next Month
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City will launch the Public Health Medical Support Group next month. The support group will be responsible for analyzing the local health care environment, developing policies, and designing the health care system.
According to the city on the 11th, the support group will operate with 6 members, including 1 director and 2 teams (Policy Research Team and Project Support Team). The support group office was recently established at Chungnam National University Hospital, and the city signed a consignment agreement with the hospital for the operation of the support group. Additionally, by securing the operating budget, preparations have been completed to start full-scale operations next month.
Earlier, in August last year, the city established a comprehensive plan for the installation and operation of the ‘Public Health Medical Support Group,’ which has specialized policy and technical support and overall coordination functions for public health care, and enacted the Public Health Medical Support Group ordinance in October.
