[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) announced that one COVID-19 case related to the Itaewon clubs has been confirmed.
The confirmed case, Mr. A (male, 43, resident of Mok 4-dong), visited a club in Itaewon on the 5th. On the 9th, he requested a specimen test at the Yongsan Public Health Center screening clinic, and on the morning of the 10th, he was finally confirmed positive. He was transferred to Seoul Medical Center, a nationally designated hospital, around 2 p.m. the same day.
Immediately after the transfer, the public health center’s quarantine team conducted and completed disinfection in the Mok 4-dong residential area and its surroundings.
The district office plans to promptly and accurately disclose the confirmed patient’s movement path through the Yangcheon-gu website and SNS (blog, Instagram) as soon as it is confirmed.
With this, the cumulative number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Yangcheon-gu has reached 22.

Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, stated, “Although we have shifted to a daily quarantine system, it is not time to be complacent. In multi-use facilities, people should still maintain a certain distance and wear masks properly. I hope everyone will strive to strictly follow quarantine rules for the safety of themselves and our community.”
