KIAT "Samsung Electronics Opens 621 Unused Technologies to Small and Medium Enterprises for Free"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Samsung Electronics will open 621 unused technologies to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies.
The Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) announced on the 8th that it will carry out technology sharing by transferring Samsung Electronics' technologies to SMEs and mid-sized companies free of charge. Technology sharing is a project that supports companies attempting to develop new products or start new businesses using unused technologies owned by large corporations and public enterprises.
Samsung Electronics, which has participated in technology sharing every year since 2015, has this time offered a total of 621 technologies in seven fields including communications and networks, mobile, display, medical devices, and robotics.
KIAT provides materials on its website and YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/kiat4u) to help companies interested in technology transfer and commercialization better understand the technologies.
The website posts materials introducing the patent registration status, content, and applicable and expandable fields for each technology, while experts explain key technologies in each field directly on YouTube.
