Incheon National University Presidential Candidates Narrowed Down to Professors Choi Gye-woon, Park In-ho, and Lee Chan-geun
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The third president candidates for the National University of Incheon have been narrowed down to three.
The University of Incheon Presidential Recommendation Committee announced on the 8th that it recommended three candidates to the university board: Choi Gye-woon (66), Professor Emeritus at the University of Incheon; Park In-ho (65), Professor Emeritus at the University of Incheon; and Lee Chan-geun (64), Professor in the Department of Trade at the University of Incheon.
The Presidential Recommendation Committee selected the three candidates with the highest scores by combining the votes (75%) of a policy evaluation group consisting of 1,708 students, professors, and alumni, and the committee's evaluation scores (25%) from five preliminary candidates.

The third president will be appointed by the president of the country after the university board selects one of these candidates as the presidential appointment candidate, followed by a recommendation process through the Minister of Education. The new president's term will be four years, from July 29 of this year to July 28, 2024.
