On the 18th episode of KBS Joy's variety show 'Love Intervention Season 3,' which aired on the 5th, a story was featured about a girlfriend who has been dating her boyfriend, who is 11 years older, for five years.
The girlfriend revealed that due to her boyfriend's habit of saving money, they had their first fight in five years after she bought beef, which was expensive. She also shared that they once had a big argument over whether or not to order a 4,000 won beer during a trip.
She later found out that her boyfriend, having grown up poor, wants to save money for the future, but she confessed that it was difficult because, despite growing up in similar environments, they have completely opposite values.
In response, her boyfriend explained that he does not hesitate to spend money when necessary, but saves as much as possible in other areas, which allowed them to secure a rented house together.
Han Hye-jin said, "I have been earning money since I was 17 and have been working for 21 years. As I get older and spend more, I feel that 'spending reflects who a person truly is.' It may be extreme, but I think spending habits follow how I perceive the other person."

Seo Jang-hoon commented, "I want to applaud the boyfriend for saving money to sign the lease for the rented house. That's impressive," but also pointed out, "However, there is such a thing as quality of life. Life is too short not to enjoy it enough, so ruining a trip over a single beer is unreasonable. No matter the circumstances, the boyfriend's attitude is harsh."
