View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] A defector organization sent large balloons carrying leaflets to North Korea, containing the news that defectors were elected as members of the National Assembly in South Korea's 21st general election.
The Free North Korea Movement Union announced on the 1st that around 10 PM on the 30th of last month, members gathered in Gyosan-ri, Yangsa-myeon, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, and released 500,000 leaflets attached to large balloons toward North Korea.
The leaflets included news about Tae Young-ho, the elected member of the United Future Party, and Ji Seong-ho, the elected member of the Future Korea Party, along with information that they would expose the realities of North Korea in the future.
It was also confirmed that 500 booklets containing the same content, 2,000 one-dollar bills, and 2,000 USB and SD cards were sent together.
In this general election, Tae was elected as the United Future Party candidate in the Gangnam-gap electoral district. Ji was elected as a proportional representative of the Future Korea Party.
