IBK Industrial Bank, Hiring Over 580 Employees Including 250 New Recruits in the First Half of the Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] IBK Industrial Bank of Korea announced on the 13th that it will begin hiring a total of about 580 people in the first half of this year, including 250 new employees, as well as people with disabilities and youth interns.
IBK posted the open recruitment announcement for new employees on its website. This is an increase of 30 people compared to the first half of last year.
The recruitment fields are 'Financial Sales' and 'Digital.' Applications will be accepted from the 27th until May 11th, followed by document screening, written exams, practical tests, and interviews, with the final successful candidates announced between July and August.
The hiring process will be conducted in a blind manner without considering school, age, or gender, and veterans and applicants with disabilities will be given preference.
IBK will introduce subjective questions in the written exam and increase the weight of the 'Job Performance Ability Evaluation,' which asks about knowledge related to each recruitment field, compared to the common 'Basic Job Competency Evaluation.'
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, recruitment announcements and promotions will be conducted online. The open recruitment guide video for new employees will be posted on the IBK recruitment website on the 20th.
An IBK official stated, "We plan to focus on hiring innovative talents who will lead the future of the rapidly changing financial environment and employees with a strong sense of public service and ethics," adding, "It will be helpful for applicants to establish their efforts to develop job competencies, social contributions, and thoughts and experiences regarding public interest."
Additionally, IBK will separately conduct recruitment for 30 employees with disabilities and 300 youth interns in the first half of the year.
Applications for the disabled recruitment will be accepted starting from the 6th of next month. The hired employees will be provided with a flexible working environment that allows for treatment and rehabilitation simultaneously, as well as jobs with guaranteed retirement age. Youth interns will submit applications in mid-May and will be finally hired after a practical test. The practical test will be conducted online due to COVID-19. Youth interns will work for six weeks starting in July, and those selected as outstanding interns will receive extra points on the written exam for new employee open recruitment.
