Yeongdeungpo-gu Distributes 'COVID-19 Prevention Kits' to All Children and Adolescents Ahead of School Opening
Includes 2 KF94 Masks, 5 Dental Masks, 1 Hand Sanitizer, Infection Prevention Guide... Customized Kits for Growing 'Children' and 'Adolescents'... Distributed at Community Centers from March 30
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Chae Hyun-il) will distribute 'COVID-19 Prevention Kits' containing quarantine supplies such as KF94 masks to all 36,587 children and adolescents in the area ahead of the school opening.
As COVID-19 prolongs, school openings at all levels have been postponed three times, and nationwide mask shortages continue, causing parents' concerns about their children's infection to grow day by day.
Accordingly, the district will ensure the health of all children and adolescents aged 3 to 17 residing in the area by distributing COVID-19 prevention kits without exception before the school opening.
About 37,000 'COVID-19 Prevention Kits' have been produced, and one kit will be distributed to each child and adolescent. The kit includes quarantine supplies such as △2 KF94 masks △5 dental masks △1 hand sanitizer, along with an infection prevention guide.
Considering that childhood and adolescence are growth periods, the district produced two types of kits according to age: 'Children's Kit' (ages 3 to 8) and 'Adolescent Kit' (ages 9 to 17). The children's prevention kit is characterized by including one small and one large size KF94 mask each.
The district will deliver the completed 'COVID-19 Prevention Kits' to community service centers, starting distribution from the 30th and completing it before the school opening. Kits will be distributed first to middle and high school students who are more active, and then sequentially to children without omission.
