Jeonbuk Province Waives All Commission Fees for Vendors at the Top 100 Tourism Souvenir Sales Center
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 27th that it will waive all commissions received from the sales at the Top 100 Jeonbuk Tourism Souvenir Stores to support small business owners who are struggling due to decreased sales caused by the decline in tourists and weakened consumer sentiment amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The target businesses are the 89 companies selected as part of the Top 100 Jeonbuk Tourism Souvenirs, which have stores within the Hanok Village exclusive sales center. For products sold until the end of June, the existing sales commission of about 30% will not be deducted, and the full sales amount will be settled to the respective companies.
The sales commission is used for expenses such as maintenance of the sales center, including card terminal usage fees and courier support. The essential expenses of the sales center arising from the commission waiver will be compensated by adjusting the project funds supported by the province.
The province plans to extend the application period after separate review if the COVID-19 situation prolongs.
