View original image[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The government has appointed Lee Moon-gi (54, photo), Director General of the Planning and Coordination Office at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, as the new Administrator of the Administrative City Construction Agency.
According to the Happy City Agency on the 23rd, the new Administrator Lee passed the 34th Administrative Examination in 1990 and entered public service. He has built extensive experience in the housing sector by serving as Director of Housing Policy Division, Housing Policy Officer, and Director of Housing and Land Office at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, making him an expert on housing price issues.
In particular, Administrator Lee, who has focused on housing speculation issues under the current government, is known to have led the formulation of the August 2nd Measures in 2017 while serving as Housing Policy Officer, and the September 13th Measures in 2018 while serving as Director of Housing and Land Office.
His appointment as Administrator of the Happy City Agency (a promotion to vice-ministerial level) was made just over two months after he moved to the position of Director General of the Planning and Coordination Office at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in January.
Administrator Lee is reported to be popular among senior and junior officials at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for his usually serious and gentle personality.
