Gyeonggi Fire Department Strengthens 'Fire Prevention' for Vulnerable Residential Facilities Including Vinyl Greenhouses
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters is strongly promoting fire prevention measures for vulnerable residential facilities such as residential vinyl greenhouses following a series of recent fires in residential vinyl greenhouses.
According to the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters, a total of 9 fires in residential vinyl greenhouses have occurred in the province from the beginning of this year until the 17th of this month, resulting in 3 deaths.
The Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters will first conduct 'fire safety on-site mentoring' and fire safety education targeting all vinyl greenhouses in the province. In addition, they will strengthen the on-site command system led by fire station chiefs and improve the emergency response system to establish a system that quickly extinguishes fires and transports patients in case of fire.
Previously, the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters distributed standalone alarm-type detectors to 1,942 residential vinyl greenhouses.
A representative of the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters emphasized, "We will do our best to establish a customized fire safety system for fire-vulnerable groups and create a safe environment for fire prevention."
