KOSPI Market Capitalization Falls Below 1,000 Trillion Won Intraday
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] As the KOSPI plunged more than 8% during trading, the market capitalization of companies listed on the domestic stock market fell below the 1,000 trillion won mark during the session.
As of 1:20 PM on the 19th, the KOSPI is at 1,470.90, down 7.5% (120.30 points) from the previous trading day. Currently, foreigners are net selling stocks worth 447.5 billion won, while institutions and individuals are buying stocks worth 101.1 billion won and 298.8 billion won, respectively.
The KOSPI market capitalization was 1,072 trillion won based on the previous day's closing, but as the market plunged over 8% in the afternoon, it has decreased to 990.806 trillion won.
