Lotte Museum Enters Renovation Period... Snoopy Special Exhibition Reopens in May
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] Lotte Museum has entered a self-reorganization period starting from the 16th to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
During the reorganization period, Lotte Museum will conduct special disinfection throughout the entire exhibition hall and take safety measures for visitors, such as collaborating with ShieldV to provide disinfectants.
In addition, for visitors who were unable to view exhibitions due to the spread of COVID-19, the museum announced that it plans to reopen the "50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing Korea Special Exhibition 'To the Moon with Snoopy'" in May. The reopening schedule of the Snoopy special exhibition will be finalized later depending on the COVID-19 situation.
Furthermore, in September, Lotte Museum will hold Korea's first and largest exhibition titled "Jean-Michel Basquiat: Streets, Heroes, Art." Basquiat was an artist who appeared like a comet in the 1980s New York art scene, leaving behind about 3,000 works in a short period of eight years. The Basquiat exhibition is a retrospective covering his life and art, displaying over 150 works including his large-scale paintings, sculptures, drawings, and ceramics.
