French Financial Authorities "Ban on Short Selling Financial Stocks for One Day"

The Autorit? des march?s financiers (AMF) announced this measure, stating, "Considering the recent severe plunge in the financial markets, we have decided to take emergency action." The stocks subject to the short selling ban include banks and financial-related stocks, totaling 92 items.
Short selling is an investment method where investors borrow shares of stocks expected to decline in price, sell them, and then buy them back at a lower price to return the borrowed shares, thereby making a profit.
