Ministry of Education Revises Enforcement Decree of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act and Others
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Parent and teacher members of the School Operation Committee can now be elected through electronic voting, postal voting, and other methods.
The Ministry of Education announced on the 15th that it will publicly notify the amendment drafts of the Enforcement Decree of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act and the Enforcement Decree of the Early Childhood Education Act, which include these provisions, until the 19th.
Through this amendment, the Ministry of Education explicitly established the basis for electing members of the School Operation Committee via electronic voting without convening face-to-face meetings.
