According to Gyeongbuk Province, as of midnight on the 13th, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 1,088, an increase of 5 from the previous day. This is the first time in three weeks that the daily cases have fallen to single digits since 6 cases were reported on the 20th of last month.
By region, there were 2 cases in Gyeongsan, 2 in Bonghwa, and 1 in Cheongdo, with no additional infections reported in other cities and counties. The 5 new confirmed cases are the lowest number since 3 patients were first reported in the province on the 19th of last month.
The number of confirmed cases increased from 6 on the 20th, 17 on the 21st, and 107 on the 22nd of the same month, peaking at 122 on the 6th of this month. Since then, the upward trend has started to slow, decreasing from 11 cases on the 12th to 5 cases again on this day.
The number of recovered patients increased by 16, totaling 99. The first recovery in the province was confirmed on the 26th of last month, and the number has been steadily increasing since the beginning of this month.
