TWICE Tzuyu to Self-Quarantine for 2 Weeks at Home in Taiwan
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] TWICE member Tzuyu is undergoing a two-week self-quarantine at her home in Taiwan in accordance with measures against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
On the 7th, TWICE held a live broadcast through Naver's 'V Live.' On that day, Tzuyu greeted fans via a phone connection from Taiwan.
During the V Live, Tzuyu said, "I am currently in my hometown but cannot go outside. I have been quarantined for 14 days," explaining that she is following her country's guidelines.
She added, "I hope ONCE (TWICE fandom) also takes good care of their health, eats well, and sleeps well. It's unfortunate that the concert was canceled, but I hope this scary coronavirus passes quickly."
Earlier, TWICE canceled their world tour finale Seoul concerts scheduled for the 7th and 8th due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19.
At that time, TWICE's agency JYP Entertainment stated, "Due to the ongoing spread of the COVID-19 virus, the TWICELIGHTS in Seoul 'FINALE' scheduled for March 7 and 8 has been canceled."
Taiwan raised the infectious disease level for overseas travel destinations to South Korea to level 3 on the 24th of last month and has recommended a two-week self-quarantine upon arrival in Taiwan for those coming from South Korea starting from the 25th of the same month.
