Yuhan-Kimberly Postpones 'Newlywed Tree Planting' to Autumn
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Yuhan-Kimberly announced on the 11th that it has decided to postpone the "2020 Newlywed Tree Planting" event of Our Green Mountains campaign to autumn in order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The Newlywed Tree Planting is one of the representative events of Yuhan-Kimberly's Our Green Mountains campaign, held every spring since 1984. This decision was made to actively participate in the ongoing "social distancing and temporary pause campaign" to prevent COVID-19 infection.
Through the Our Green Mountains campaign, Yuhan-Kimberly has carried out activities such as citizen-participation tree planting, school forest creation, desertification prevention forest establishment, and training of female environmental leaders since 1984. In the process, more than 53 million trees have been planted and nurtured. Detailed schedules and participation application information for the postponed autumn event will be announced in September.
