Hana Financial Investment and 3 Others Deliver 'COVID-19' Donations to Daegu
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Hana Financial Investment announced on the 11th that it jointly donated 500 million KRW to the Daegu Community Chest of Korea along with Hana Asset Trust, Hyundai Construction, and Dowon Development.
The donation was prepared to support Daegu citizens who are struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and to revive the local economy. The total donation amount is 500 million KRW, with 200 million KRW each delivered to Daegu Metropolitan City and Jung-gu Office of Daegu Metropolitan City, and 100 million KRW to Dongsan Medical Center.
The four companies that made the joint donation stated, "Daegu was designated as a special management area for infectious diseases and has suffered the most damage from COVID-19, which is regrettable," and added, "We made this donation to offer a small support to the citizens of Daegu and numerous medical staff who are fighting against COVID-19."

Hana Financial Investment and the other three companies are closing the ‘Jagalmadang’ in Daegu and developing it into a residential-commercial complex. ‘Jagalmadang’ was a red-light district formed during the Japanese colonial period, and after demolition, a residential complex called ‘Hillstate Dowon Central’ will be built. The Dowon-dong development project was selected as the number one project among the ‘Top 10 Daegu City Administration Projects’ last year.
