Ministry of Education and National Institute for Lifelong Education Recruit New Participants for 'Match-Up' Project
Dedicated to Education Programs in the 4th Industrial Revolution Field

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] On the 11th, the Ministry of Education announced that it will select new fields to diversify the 'Match-Up' short-term job competency certification courses tailored to industry, operated by the National Institute for Lifelong Education.
Match-Up is an online education project that allows university students, employed workers, and job seekers to complete courses in the Fourth Industrial Revolution fields. It was first introduced in 2018.
Last year, three fields?Smart Farm, New Energy Vehicles, and Blockchain?were added, bringing the total to six fields (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Smart Logistics). Each field has one representative company, and 15 educational institutions have been designated. Educational institutions develop and operate courses focusing on core job tasks proposed by the representative companies.

Representative companies and educational institutions wishing to participate in this year’s project must submit their project proposals by 6 p.m. on May 15. They can receive up to 320 million KRW in funding, and the courses will be operated starting from the first half of next year.
