Gyeongnam Office of Education Conducts Online Classes via Smart Devices During School Opening Postponement Period
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 6th that, due to the postponement of the school semester caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), it has enabled online classes through a YouTube channel to minimize students' learning loss.
Online classes involve teachers sharing stepping-stone videos, assigning and grading tasks by subject, and providing videos that allow the use of online platforms for formative and diagnostic assessments. Live broadcasts are also possible, where teachers and students can set a time to conduct classes and discussions via video conferencing.
The Office of Education stated that it has guided all schools on how to use these teaching tools that enable online teaching and learning.
