According to foreign media such as CNBC in the U.S., Google’s autonomous driving company Waymo secured a total investment of $2.25 billion (approximately 2.6 trillion KRW) from Silicon Valley venture capital firms including Andreessen Horowitz. Waymo received a total investment of $2.25 billion from seven funds and companies, including investment funds Silver Lake, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Mubadala Investment from the United Arab Emirates, auto parts manufacturer Magna International, AutoNation, and venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.
HNT, a camera module specialist company, is solidifying its position in the autonomous driving business sector by acquiring global autonomous driving company UMO and domestic autonomous driving mobility specialist MDI.
