On the 25th, Lee Eon-ju, a member of the Future United Party, said, "Worrying about his escape? Even a passing cow would laugh."
On the same day, Lee said on her Facebook, "What kind of escape risk is there for someone who holds rallies at Gwanghwamun Square in front of everyone every weekend?"
She said, "The charge is violation of the election law. It is excessive to judge that criticizing the Moon Jae-in administration and calling for resignation in places where people gather constitutes a violation of the election law, but is it such a serious matter to warrant detention?"
She continued, "How many people involved in the heinous crime of interfering in the Ulsan mayoral election have been arrested?" and "Even though election interference that destroys democracy and the constitution should be thoroughly investigated without exception, arrest warrants are dismissed one after another, yet Pastor Jeon's warrant was accepted for election law violation. This is absolutely outrageous. It is a clear political persecution."
Lee said, "The ruling Democratic Party should immediately remove 'Democratic' from its party name," and added, "Those who still cannot criticize the Democratic Party because of the party badge or the crumbs in front of them, aren't you truly ashamed?"
She also said, "There are various evaluations of Pastor Jeon, but his significant contribution to the anti-Moon struggle by mobilizing nationwide resistance against the Moon administration starting from Gwanghwamun Square should be highly appreciated," and concluded, "I hope he is released soon. I plan to visit him soon with lawyers from the Action Free Citizens Legal Support Group."
