A hospital official stated, "The patient is a foreign worker in the region who was brought in following a report from a colleague that 'he appeared to have stopped breathing while sleeping'." This patient has no record of entering or leaving Vietnam for the past five years and has not passed through any domestic outbreak areas, so the possibility of infection with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is considered low.
