On the 18th, the Win-Win Growth Committee (hereafter Win-Win Committee) held its 60th meeting at the Sheraton Seoul Palace Hotel and passed the agenda for Chairman Kwon's reappointment. The Win-Win Committee explained that it unanimously resolved to appoint Chairman Kwon as the 5th Chairman based on recommendations from various economic organizations and related institutions.
Chairman Kwon took office as the 4th Chairman of the Win-Win Growth Committee in February 2018 and has led the 'Innovation-Driven Wage Gap Reduction Movement,' securing cooperation worth approximately 11 trillion KRW through 'Wage Gap Reduction Agreements' with 50 major corporations and public institutions. He also expanded the win-win growth culture to local regions through the 'Innovation Growth Tour' with three local governments. Establishing a permanent response system for large and small-medium enterprises' win-win growth through the 'Technology Innovation Win-Win Growth Online Platform' is also considered a major achievement.
With this reappointment, Chairman Kwon becomes the first chairman to serve consecutive terms since the Win-Win Committee's inception in 2010. This is expected to maintain consistency in win-win growth policies. In particular, the wage gap reduction movement, which he emphasized during his 4th term, has gained renewed driving force. The wage gap reduction movement refers to the Win-Win Committee signing agreements whereby large corporations properly pay their cooperating small and medium enterprises (SMEs), provide support programs such as wage and welfare benefits, and assist in wage payment capacity, enabling cooperating SMEs to enhance competitiveness and improve working conditions.
