Closed Every Thursday and Friday in the Cafeteria... Recommended to Use Restaurants Near the Government Complex
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) will close its in-house cafeteria twice a week for one month starting from the 17th to revitalize the local economy, which has been depressed due to the impact of COVID-19.
The district had been closing the cafeteria on the last Friday of every month since September 2018, but recently, as consumer sentiment has further weakened due to COVID-19, it decided to expand the closure to twice a week (Thursday and Friday) to activate the local commercial district and support the grassroots economy.
Accordingly, about 1,000 district office employees are expected to use nearby restaurants.
