Nine Family Members Sharing Food in Hong Kong Confirmed Infected with Novel Coronavirus
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] The South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on the 10th that a family of nine who shared a meal in Hong Kong were infected with the novel coronavirus (Wuhan pneumonia).
According to the report, nine out of a total of 19 family members were confirmed to be infected. They were infected with the novel coronavirus while sharing hotpot and barbecue at a restaurant called Lento Party Room in the Kwun Tong area of Hong Kong. It was confirmed that two relatives from mainland China were among them. The ages of the infected range from 22 to 68 years old.
The Lento Party Room restaurant where the family dined has been temporarily closed, and no employees have been confirmed infected. The staff have been self-quarantining at home for two weeks, and on the afternoon of the 9th, three health workers equipped with full protective gear visited the site to inspect the situation.
