National Science Museum, Recruiting Participants for AI Autonomous Exploration Program
[Asia Economy Reporter Junho Hwang] The National Science Museum announced on the 7th that it is recruiting students and clubs to participate in AI autonomous exploration programs and school club support programs to spread interest and an atmosphere of inquiry about artificial intelligence (AI).
First, 25 elementary, middle, and high school students who will participate in the AI exploration project process will be recruited from the 10th of this month to the 6th of next month through the Science Museum's official website. They will choose one of the eight tasks presented by the museum and conduct autonomous exploration for six months. The museum plans to have researchers from government-funded research institutes such as the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information provide direct monthly advisory services to the students.
The museum will give participating students priority opportunities to attend the AI Youth Camp (1 night 2 days, held in the second half of the year). Outstanding exploration results will be awarded the Minister of Science and ICT Award.
The museum is also separately recruiting 25 elementary, middle, and high school students to participate in the competition preparation process. Expert advisory services will be provided to students preparing AI-related entries for various science competitions such as the National Science Exhibition and the National Student Science Invention Competition.
