Trump Receives Report on Novel Coronavirus... "Will Continue Monitoring"
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] U.S. President Donald Trump stated on the 29th (local time) that he received reports from relevant authorities regarding the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia). President Trump mentioned that he will continue to monitor the progress.
On the same day, President Trump tweeted, "I just received reports from our (U.S.) excellent agencies about the novel coronavirus that originated in China," adding, "These agencies are working closely with China." He continued, "We will continue to monitor the ongoing situation," and stated, "We have experts who are better than anywhere else in the world, and they maintain readiness 24 hours a day."
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that 195 Americans evacuated from Wuhan, China, by chartered flight are currently at an Air Force base in California. These Americans will undergo quarantine by U.S. health authorities.
The CDC explained that the quarantine process is conducted with voluntary consent, and they plan to stay for 3 to 4 days while undergoing testing. The CDC stated, "Although intensive investigations were conducted, no new cases were found among the repatriates."

Regarding the novel coronavirus, CNN reported that five confirmed cases have been identified in the U.S., and 165 people have been classified as suspected cases.
