On the morning of the 30th, former Supreme Council member Moon stated on tbs radio's 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory,' "Since former lawmaker Ahn is also a pragmatic politician, he is more likely to take a realistic path rather than a difficult one to succeed."
He said, "Currently, the paths available to former lawmaker Ahn are either to take a third independent route or to participate in integration. He is saying he will take an independent third route now, but I believe that path is unlikely to succeed." He added, "I expect that around the end of February, integration discussions will once again become a key issue."
There is a prospect that former lawmaker Ahn's joining could become possible around the end of next month. Moon explained, "Former lawmaker Ahn will try the independent route once to gauge public response and support. Whether the support is high or low, the need for integration will likely arise. At that time, integration discussions will flare up again, and what choice former lawmaker Ahn will make then remains open."
Regarding the 'opposition party judgment theory,' he said, "I do not agree with the opposition party judgment, and it is an illusion created by the current government or some pro-government polling agencies." He added, "Right now, people dislike both the Democratic Party and the Korean Party, but ultimately, on election day, I believe this general election is an evaluation of the current administration." He continued, "Although I am not a fan of the Korean Party, I believe the Moon Jae-in administration must be judged this time, and a new path must be sought. That is how I view the political situation."
