Train Tickets Now Available for Purchase on the 'KakaoT' App
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] From now on, it will be possible to book train tickets through the Kakao T application.
Kakao Mobility announced on the 30th that it has signed a business agreement with Korea Railroad Corporation to establish a one-stop service that enables everything from purchasing to issuing train tickets.
As early as this year, users will be able to check real-time availability, purchase, pay for, and issue tickets for various types of trains such as KTX, Saemaeul-ho, and Mugunghwa-ho through the Kakao T app.
Kakao Mobility stated, "Based on this agreement, we plan to collaborate in various ways to enhance the convenience of railway use for the public by linking railway services with mobility platforms, as well as to provide integrated services connecting railways with other transportation modes."
Kakao Mobility will also prepare a plan to link nationwide train station parking lots under Korea Railroad Corporation with Kakao T parking services. Kakao T Parking is a service that allows real-time checking of available parking lots, navigation to parking lots through Kakao Navi, fee confirmation, and automatic payment.

Ryu Geung-seon, co-CEO of Kakao Mobility, said, "Through this agreement, by providing Korea Railroad Corporation's train services to the 24 million members of the Kakao T app, our position as a comprehensive mobility platform will be further solidified. Given the limitless expansion potential of Kakao T, we will actively seek ways to link various products of Korea Railroad Corporation."
