Public Procurement Service Explores Cooperation and Development Directions for Large and Small-Medium Enterprises
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] On the 29th, the Public Procurement Service held a workshop with 24 construction companies participating in the "Public Facility Sector Large and Small-Medium Enterprise Cooperation Program (hereinafter Cooperation Program)" at the Seoul Regional Public Procurement Service.
The Cooperation Program is a program in which large enterprises provide long-term support to small and medium enterprises in areas such as construction management, business strategy, technology development, financial management, and legal support based on mutual voluntary agreement. After a pilot project over the past year, it is being fully implemented starting this month.
Last year's pilot project involved 4 large enterprises and 10 small and medium enterprises, and this year the program is being conducted with the participation of 7 large enterprises including Hyundai, Lotte, GS, Daewoo, POSCO, SK, and Kolon Construction, along with 17 small and medium enterprises.
The workshop was organized to share excellent cases discovered through last year's pilot project of the Cooperation Program, discuss the future development direction of the Cooperation Program, and present the Commissioner of the Public Procurement Service's commendation to GS Construction and EM Comprehensive Construction, selected as the best companies based on the pilot project results.

Jeong Mu-gyeong, Commissioner of the Public Procurement Service, said, "Based on the discussions at the workshop and the results of the research service on program revitalization measures, we plan to establish a development strategy for the Cooperation Program," adding, "We hope that large and small-medium construction companies can cooperate through the Cooperation Program to create a foundation for mutual growth and coexistence."
